Summary/Objective:

This is a hands-on position that will manage the day-to-day functions of IT along with developing the short, mid, and long-term strategy of IT for the company. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and use of technology throughout the companywhich includes 3 sites.

Essential Functions:

  • Deploy, monitor, maintain, develop, upgrade, and support all IT systems.
     
  • Perform IT needs assessments, technology, and vendor selections, focusing on building best practices while controlling costs.
     
  • Lead and manage the helpdesk ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution of all IT issues.
     
  • Provide direct IT support and helpdesk services while managing and mentoring other IT support team members.
     
  • Administer Office365, including user management, email services, and security settings.
     
  • Coordinate with our outsourced IT provider to manage and support IT initiatives.
     
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of a robust IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, etc.
     
  • Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies; conduct regular security audits and assessments.
     
  • Manage and Support ERP advancement and support.
     
  • Proactively monitor system performance and address issues before they impact the business.
     
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
     
  • Lead system integration efforts to streamline processes and improve data flow.
     
  • Provide exceptional support to local and remote users.
     
  • Work closely with senior management to align IT strategy with our business goals and drive success.
     
  • Work closely with other department Managers to assess needs of the of all aspects of IT.
     
  • Manage IT staff including hiring, training, evaluation, guidance, and development.
     
  • Prepare and manage the IT expense budget, optimizing resources for maximum efficiency.
     
  • Prepare annual capital, expense budgets, and ensure spending is within budget.
     
  • Provide training and support to employees on the use of various IT systems and applications.
     
  • Conduct regular training sessions for staff on new technologies and best practices to keep our team ahead of the curve.
     
  • Develop and enforce IT support policies and procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
     
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to keep us at the forefront of innovation.
     
  • Provide expertise on technology best practices.
     
  • Create a collaborative environment that fosters creativity, innovation, and learning.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
     
  • 5+ years of experience in IT or a similar role.
     
  • Strong technical problem solving and communication skills.
     
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, software management, and cybersecurity.
     
  • Proven experience with IT support and helpdesk management in a manufacturing environment.
     
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
     
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities

A successful candidate will have the technical ability to bring products from ideation through to commercialization and/or manufacturing. Instead of being a specialist in any single engineering discipline, the candidate must have broad technical aptitudes and interests. This position is ideal for a person who prefers to have a hands-on role in an open culture of collaboration, and thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Compliance (PCI, NIST, GDPR).
     
  • Experience administrating Office 365 Environments.
     
  • Skilled in managing ERP systems in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of EDI. Plex Systems ERP preferred.
     
  • Skilled in SQL report development and business analytics.
     
  • Experienced in Installation, configuration, support, and management of:
  • Microsoft operating systems, VMWare, Active Directory, networking equipment.

Lyman Products Corporation offers competitive wages and benefits.  Compensation may be commensurate withqualifications and experience, with benefit details being available upon request.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time, on-site position (40 hours per week), with standard hours being Monday through Friday starting at 8:00 am and ending at 5:00 pm, to include a 1-hour lunch break. Work outside of standard hours may be required as needed in certain circumstances.
